Instructor Sherri Gamble
Bremerton Youth Art Hive for emerging youth artists (between 14 and 20 years old) is a series of skill-building classes designed to empower the emerging artist with tools and knowledge to successfully pursue showing and selling their work as a young creative professional.
If you know an emerging teen artist (between 14 and 20 years old), encourage them to sign up for our Bremerton Youth Art Hive Camp with Sherri Gamble, former Bremerton High School art teacher and "gritty" artist with CVG and Earth House Studio.
Past camp classes have focused on the philosophy and the "why" of art-making. Students created a vision board to explore their pathways to careers in arts. Susan B gave a talk on mindfulness as a self-care technique for the studio. In addition, local artists joined the class to share insights. There is also a focus on skill building; display hanging; and canvas and substrate preparation. Spread the word and let's support art for the next generation!
Bremerton Youth Art Hive artists have had their work displayed in the CVG Underground Gallery, The Bremerton Fall for the Arts Gala and the Bremerton Planetarium.
Donations welcomed.
